Reviewing Defending the Name

Above this text you should be able to preview the music on Defending the Name via Grooveshark. Taylor Carson has improved on what I critically thought were common singer/songwriter weaknesses.

I listen to a lot of music and I’m not a fan of the solo sound of a lone guitar player even though I applaud people who have the talent to do that much. I’m not that talented. Taylor Carson can’t help but exist in this category because he happens to be a singer/songwriter.

I’ve seen him live and I have his last album “Standing Alone” and this one. The added accompaniment and increased production have definitely enhanced the strengths he already brought to the table. I’m looking forward to him sneaking into stardom simply by being noticed because he’s as good as any other singer/songwriter out there and I’m particularly fond of “Make Me Believe” and “Moonshiner”. I don’t feel the need to hit skip at all which is rare for me when listening to this genre.

Maybe I’m biased since I met him. Find out what you think by pressing play on the widget above. Taylor Carson’s site is http://www.taylorcarson.com/ .
